The Stephen Moylan Foundation
Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: 9 June 2026  |  Registered Charity No. 20206728

1. Our Commitment
The Stephen Moylan Foundation is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that every person, regardless of ability, deserves equal access to information about the support we provide.

Our website is hosted on Wix.com and is located at www.thestephenmoylanfoundation.ie.

2. Applicable Standards
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We also seek to comply with the requirements of:
•    EU Web Accessibility Directive (Directive (EU) 2016/2102) as transposed into Irish law
•    The Equal Status Acts 2000–2018
•    The Disability Act 2005 (Ireland)

3. Current Accessibility Features
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility on our website:
•    We have used clear, plain English throughout the site, appropriate for families in distress
•    Text can be resized using standard browser settings without loss of content
•    Colour contrast has been considered to support users with visual impairments
•    Our website is navigable by keyboard
•    We have used descriptive alternative text (alt text) on key images
•    Pages have clear headings and logical structure

4. Known Limitations
We are aware that our website may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria in every area. As a small registered charity, we are working within the resources and technical constraints of the Wix platform. Known or potential limitations include:
•    Some embedded third-party content (e.g. Spotify player, TicketTailor ticket widget) may not be fully accessible — these are controlled by third-party providers
•    Some older images may lack full alt text descriptions
•    PDF or downloadable documents linked from the site may not be fully accessible
We are actively working to address these issues as resources allow.

5. Feedback and Contact
If you experience any difficulty accessing content on our website, or if you require information in an alternative format, please contact us:

Email: thestephenmoylanfoundation@gmail.com
Phone: +353 89 213 9637

We will do our best to provide the information you need in an accessible format and respond to your request within 10 working days.

6. Formal Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC) at ihrec.ie, or make a complaint to the Charities Regulator at charitiesregulator.ie.

7. What We Are Doing Next
We are committed to continuous improvement. Our planned actions include:
•    Regular review of alt text on all images
•    Working with Wix to maximise platform-level accessibility features
•    Ensuring any new content added to the website meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards
•    Reviewing this statement at least once per year

8. Technical Information
This website is built using the Wix website platform. Accessibility of the underlying platform is the responsibility of Wix.com. For details of Wix's accessibility work, see wix.com/accessibility.
