The Stephen Moylan Foundation is a registered charity in Ireland (Charity Registration Number 20206728). We are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing free, trauma-informed bereavement counselling to children and young people aged 5–18 across Ireland who have lost a parent.

2. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing our website at www.thestephenmoylanfoundation.ie or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Accessibility Statement.
3. Our Services
3.1 Bereavement Counselling Referrals
We provide free referrals to accredited bereavement counsellors for children and young people aged 5–18 who have experienced the death of a parent. Our services are subject to availability and are provided at the sole discretion of the Foundation. We can not guarantee immediate availability of counselling in every geographic area.
3.2 No Medical or Clinical Advice
The Foundation is not a clinical service. Information provided on our website is for general guidance only and does not constitute medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. We strongly encourage families to consult a qualified medical professional for clinical concerns.
3.3 Emergency Situations
We are not an emergency crisis service. If you or a child is in immediate danger or distress, please contact the emergency services (999 / 112), your GP, or a crisis support line such as Samaritans (116 123) or Pieta House (116 123).
4. Website Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not:
• Use the website in any way that could harm, disable, or impair it
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its related systems
• Transmit any unsolicited communications or harmful code
• Use the website to misrepresent your identity or affiliation

All donations made to the Foundation are voluntary and non-refundable unless made in error. Donations are processed through third-party payment providers. We are a registered charity and may issue tax-relief receipts (CHY) where applicable under Irish Revenue guidelines. 9. Safeguarding
The Foundation operates in accordance with the Children First Act 2015 and Tusla's Child Safeguarding guidelines. All staff and volunteers with access to children have Garda vetting. We have a designated Safeguarding Lead and a Child Safeguarding Statement available on request.
10. Complaints
We aim to provide a high standard of service. If you have a complaint, please contact us in the first instance at thestephenmoylanfoundation@gmail.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 28 days. You also have the right to raise concerns with the Charities Regulator (charitiesregulator.ie).
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
