Finglas Opera Night Raises €1,350 for The Stephen Moylan Foundation

The Stephen Moylan Foundation is delighted to have received a donation of €1,350 from the Finglas Community Development Team and Finglas Tidy Towns, representing the proceeds of the Finglas Opera Night held earlier this summer in St. Canice’s Church, Finglas.

The Opera Night was organised by Dublin City Council’s Finglas Community & Social Development Team, with support from Finglas Tidy Towns, and brought the local community together for an evening of music in aid of our work. We were honoured to be chosen as this year’s beneficiary.

Every euro raised on the night will go directly towards our mission of ensuring no child has to face bereavement alone. As a registered charity, we provide free, specialist bereavement counselling with accredited counsellors for children and young people aged 5–18 who have experienced the loss of a parent. We work closely with schools across the community to make sure that support is there for a child exactly when they need it most.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, performed, organised, and supported the Finglas Opera Night, and to the Finglas Community Development Team and Finglas Tidy Towns for choosing to support our work and for presenting us with this generous donation. Fundraising events like this make a real, tangible difference to the children and families we support.

If your community group, school, or organisation would like to host a fundraiser in support of The Stephen Moylan Foundation, we’d love to hear from you.
