Stephen’s Legacy: Changing Lives Across Ireland

This is Stephen.

The reason the Stephen Moylan Foundation exists.

When the Foundation was established in Stephen’s memory, it began within our community in Dublin 11 with one simple belief, no child who has lost a parent should be left without the specialist support they need to navigate their grief.

For a child, losing a parent can change everything. The right support gives them a safe space to talk, play, ask difficult questions, express what they’re feeling, or simply begin to make sense of a world that suddenly feels very different.

What started in North Dublin is now reaching children and families across Ireland.

We are approaching our 100th child supported and our 1000th specialist therapy session funded.

But perhaps what we are most proud of is that, so far, we have been able to say yes to every eligible child referred to us.

That “yes” has only been possible because of the incredible support we have received from individuals, communities, schools, clubs, businesses, sponsors and fundraisers.

You haven’t simply funded therapy sessions. You have helped give a grieving child a safe place and the right support at a time when they need it most.

We never know what is around the corner, or which child or family may need us next.

Our hope is simply that, when they do, we can continue to say yes.
